France Visa Update – May 2025 : For family visit visa applications, a Town Hall Letter (Lettre de la Mairie) is now mandatory regardless of whether the host family is sponsoring your trip or not.
This applies to all applicants visiting family members in France.
Ensure this document is obtained before filing your visa application to avoid rejection.
