Mutual fund industry data shows that 6.40 lakh new investors joined the MF fold in July 2025. With this, the number of unique investors in mutual funds increased from 5.53 crore in June 2025 to 5.59 crore in July 2025.
The industry’s folio count also rose by 44 lakh, from 24.13 crore to 24.57 crore in July. Equity funds added about 31.35 lakh folios while debt funds and hybrid funds added 2.65 lakh and 3.35 lakh folios, respectively. Further, the MF industry recorded inflows of Rs. 1.79 lakh crore during the month.
